Designed by Sir Robert Matthew, Johnson-Marshall and Partners, the 14 storey tower and adjacent lecture block formed the first phase of the postwar redevelopment of George Square by Edinburgh University. It is built using reinforced concrete and clad in polished black slate, York stone slabs and brick backing. View high resolution
